Those photographs age in different ways. Early black-and-white prints tend to crack, crease and silver at the edges. Colour prints from the 1970s and 1980s fade and drift towards red and magenta as their dyes break down. We restore each one for the way it has actually aged, keeping the grain, tone and character that make it a photograph of its time.
